Gearbox Racquetball to visit the Everett YMCA!

The Gearbox Bus will be coming to the Everett YMCA November 15th! This is your chance to try out some gear and meet and play with some of the pro racquetball tour players including Anthony Herrera (Current Ranked #11), and the owner of Gearbox, Rafeal Filippini. They’re making the rounds around Washington State, and decided to stop by our Y as part of those rounds!

Hopefully, we’ll see you there in a couple of weeks!

WRA Membership North Tournament

The deadline for the WRA Membership Drive North tournament is rapidly approaching!

This is the northern version of the tournament that is taking place this weekend in Puyallup. No frills – no t-shirt, no meals, and no refs. What you get for your money is simple: You get your USRA membership extended for 1 year past its current end date!

If you have to renew your USRA membership in order to register for the tournament, you can use the coupon on the final page of the registration to reduce the entry fee by the amount of the membership renewal, or you can simply call me at 425-418-0319 and I’ll enter you through the back end of the tournament software.

Enrollment for the 2011 Fall Racquetball League is Open!

The Everett YMCA runs a round the year racquetball league, offering divisions for D, C, B, A, and Elite/Open players. The league matches are all played on Friday nights, although we do allow players to reschedule matches if conflicts occur. Rescheduled matches must be completed before any playoff rounds are begun or before the end the last scheduled match for the league. Open to all players, members of the Y of Snohomish County or the Y Puget Sound Triangle play for free, all others will be charged a $39 YMCA Program Fee.

I’ve changed the layout of the Everett Racquetball Website a little bit. What do you think? I love that the new layout still has similar features to the old one, and the overall look and feel is much more professional. There are several layout options that are available to me in this new style that weren’t available before.

Upcoming Tournaments:

These are the last two tournaments of the year! They’re both sanctioned events, which means they require a USRA membership to enter, which is usually $50. HOWEVER, the Washington Racquetball Association is running a promotion for new members! If you’ve never participated in a USRA sanctioned tournament, you can sign up for a one-year membership for $25. This is a limited time offer, so take advantage of it while you still can, and register for one of these upcoming tournaments!

If you were thinking about registering for the FoodsHeal.com Shootout in Everett, WA on February 5th, do so now!
